Bruckner's powerful Te Deum is regarded as the composer's most important choral work and Bruckner himself regarded it "the pride of his life". It was composed between 1881-1884 and Bruckner dedicated the work to "his dear Lord" with the words "Ad maiorem Dei gloriam" (For the greater glory of God), "in gratitude for having safely brought me through so much anguish in Vienna." Hear a spectacular new version for brass quintet and organ (arranged by Johannes Ebenbauer), along with a selection of Bruckner's most powerful motets and works for brass and organ including: Os Justi meditabitur, Ecce Sccerdos magnus, Locus Iste, Tota Pulchra es, and Afferentur regi. Other works will include 2 Aequali in C minor for 3 trombones, Präludium (Perger Präludium) in C major, WAB 129 and Fugue in D minor, WAB 125. The acclaimed Royal Melbourne Philharmomnic Choir will be jopined by a stella cast of four magnificant Australian soloists for this spectacular program in historic All Saints Church.

Hear one of Europe’s finest chamber choirs, Neuer Kammerchor Berlin in their debut Melbourne performance. Founded in October 2016 by Adrian Emans, the Neuer Kammerchor Berlin has quickly become one of the most renowned chamber choirs of Germany’s Capital Berlin. The choir is under the direction of Adrian Emans is the founder and musical director of the Neuer Kammerchor Berlin, the Charité Chor Berlin and the Neuer Männerchor Berlin. Performing an exciting program of music, representing composers such as Nigel Butterley, Josef Rheinberger, Paul Stanhope, and Valentin Silvestrov. They will be joined by the Royal Melbourne Phiharmonic Choir, performing motets by Franz Biebl, Heinrich Schütz and Anton Bruckner in a spectacular concert of choral grandeur.

Members of the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir (cond. Andrew Wailes) joined the Melbourne Symphony Orch (cond. Benjamin Northey) to perform to over 80,000 people in glorious sunshine at the Melbourne Cup. Pre-race entertainment featured a medley of the "unofficial anthems of Australia". With the support of the RMP Choir and MSO, Mahalia Barnes belted out "You’re the Voice", John Paul Young sang "Love is in the Air" and Michael Cormick gave a great rendition of
"This is the Moment"...

Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts, Ballarat
Box Hill Chorale performed a fun "Christmas Caramels" concert as the guests of the Ballarat Symphony Orchestra. BHC was joined by members of the Ballarat and Colac Choral Societies. The concert featured Haydn's “Cello Concerto in D” (cello Lachlan Dent), Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”(baritone soloist Andrew Wailes), and BSO Conductor Gyula Cseszkó. In the second half of the concert, Andrew Wailes conducted a tribute to Ballarat born composer William G James.
